The Challenge
This Victorian period property had a roof with numerous broken and slipped tiles, allowing water ingress. The timber underneath showed signs of age and some minor rot in localised areas. The homeowners wanted to maintain the period-appropriate appearance while ensuring the roof was waterproof and would last another 50+ years.
Our Solution
- Removal of all damaged tiles
- Inspection and repair of underlying timber structure
- Installation of new traditional clay tiles in original specification
- Replacement of lime mortar bedding (appropriate for period property)
- Installation of new ridge tiles
- Complete weatherproofing and sealing
